IO-alumnus wint Open Photo Competition

Tian Qing Yen (alumnus Industrieel Ontwerpen) won met haar foto Moving Spaces de hoofdprijs in de Open Photo Competition van de TU Delft. Haar foto verbeeldt het spanningsveld tussen vrijheid en beperking. De winnende foto’s werden bekendgemaakt tijdens de Open Education Week 2025.

Andere winnende inzendingen waren TU Delft Library van alumnus Carel van der Lippe (Elektrotechniek), The Observer van promovendus Jonas Leander von Heusinger (Luchtvaart & Ruimtevaarttechniek) en Abstract Utility van masterstudent Krishna Koushik Venigalla (Bouwkunde).

De Open Photo Competition is een initiatief van Bea de los Arcos, Learning Developer bij de TU Delft Extension School. De wedstrijd is bedoeld om deelnemers op een laagdrempelige manier kennis te laten maken met het concept van openheid: het vrij delen van beelden, het belang van correcte toeschrijving en het hergebruik van materiaal. De ingezonden foto’s worden toegevoegd aan een openbare beeldbank, die vrij toegankelijk is voor iedereen. Dit was de vijfde editie van de competitie.
