,Robbery failed

Staffers at the Faculty of Technology, Policy and Management (TPM) trapped an escaping computer thief in the faculty building’s revolving door, before binding his legs together to prevent his escape before the police could arrive. The drama unfolded around 12:30, when a female teacher at TPM saw a suspicious looking person walking past her office. A few minutes later a student asked her if she had seen two laptops that had gone missing. “The student immediately ran for the emergency exit, while I went down the regular staircase,” the teacher recounts. The teacher caught up to the thief and grabbed his arm, but the man broke free and tried to escape through a revolving door, at which point the teacher trapped the thief inside. “Four security personnel then apprehended the man, but he broke loose and ran back into the faculty building.” The thief was later reapprehended inside the building, and this time his legs were tied together to prevent escape. The 21-year-old thief is not a student at TU Delft.
