Geschiedenislezing op de campus

Wat kunnen de ingenieurs van nu leren van de geschiedenis van wetenschap en technologie? In een serie van vier Lipkenslezingen duikt Studium Generale samen met het Academisch Erfgoed Team van de TU Library de geschiedenis in. De naamgever van de lezing, Antoine Lipkens, is grondlegger van de TH Delft, de voorloper van de Technische Universiteit Delft.

Prof.dr. Erik van der Vleuten (Technische Universiteit Eindhoven) verzorgt de eerste Lipkenslezing op donderdag 16 september. Aan de hand van voorbeelden uit de recente geschiedenis bespreekt hij de rol van technologie in ‘grote uitdagingen’, ‘maatschappelijke uitdagingen’ en ‘duurzaamheid’.

  • De eerste Lipkenslezing ‘Technology, Societal Challenges and Global Sustainability in Historical Perspective’ vind plaats op donderdag 16 september van 16.00-17.30 uur in de centrale hal van de TU Library. Meld je hier aan om de lezing bij te wonen of kijk mee via YouTube.
