Brand Library ontstond in boiler

In de TU Delft Library heeft zondagochtend 11 april brand gewoed. Deze ontstond in een van de technische ruimtes – een boiler –  op de vierde etage. 
Tijdens het uitbreken van de brand waren zo’n tweehonderd studenten en medewerkers aanwezig. Zij werden geëvacueerd en konden na enige tijd weer naar binnen om hun achtergebleven spullen op te halen.

“Gelukkig had de brandweer het vuur snel onder controle waardoor de schade meevalt”, vertelt projectleider Library Linda Heemskerk. Wel hing er in het gebouw een nare brandlucht waardoor de bibliotheek de rest van de dag gesloten bleef. (MvdV)
