Biking in Delft

Nearly all the parties would promote Delft being a ‘fietsstad’ or ‘bikeable city’ and would encourage residents to take the bike instead of the car.

They want more facilities to park bikes, better bike lanes, more places to park bikes, smart traffic lights that turn green faster when it rains and fewer cars in the city centre.

Apart from the VVD, most parties are in favour of converting parking spots for cars into parking spots for bikes.
