Nostalgia

Ameneh Deljoo, 27, is holding a faravahar, a symbol of  Zoroastrianism. Given to her by her grandmother as a wedding present, the faravahar is said to be a reminder of one’s purpose in life.

Deljoo moved here in 2012 to be with her husband and is now pursuing a PhD in the technology, policy and management faculty. Though now her grandmother has passed away, Deljoo thinks of her whenever she wears the necklace.
