“I come from a town near Eindhoven called Best and I’m going to study aerospace engineering. I was looking for a technical study, so TU Delft and TU Eindhoven were definitely options for me. I was kind of choosing between them when I learned about aerospace engineering. They don’t have it at Eindhoven, and I also heard about the high level of education here and after that it was an easy decision.
In general, I have always been interested in physics and mathematics so that makes engineering a good fit. I’m also interested in things like space exploration, rockets, and how we get to space.
‘I am hoping to find a room soon’
I have lived at home my whole life and I will probably still have to live there for a little bit until I find a room here. I’m still looking, and I hope I will find something soon. For now, I will have to come by train every day. iI’s like one and a half hours so it’s going to be a challenge. But it is what it is.
I arrived yesterday and joined my group for the OWee, and we went around to some of the welcome activities. It started off with breakfast and then we went to the information market. It was interesting because we got some information about the student associations. It was very well organised and there are lots of activities. I’m thinking about doing something with triathlon or swimming. At the beginning of the year, there are a few weeks when you can try out a lot of different things so I think I will do that.
I think it’s going to be a lot of fun here, especially the studies, but also all of the things around that so it’s going to be good.”
