“I arrived about a week ago and we are now in the international welcome week. The weather is like 20 Celsius here and this is like our winter at home in India. I think it’s awesome.
One difference is that here in Delft the traffic is very orderly and there are not so many people. Although I’m very afraid of cyclists and have nearly been hit several times already. I bought a bike but I still have to learn the rules; I have to get used to it.
As for my future, I would really like to work for NASA someday. I know it’s a long journey from now, but let’s see. I’m not really homesick because I’ve been away from home my whole life so it really doesn’t bother me. Actually, my friend and I worked together for two years in India, we both applied here and got accepted to come around the same time so that’s nice.
And I love playing badminton so a shout out to anyone who wants to play. I would love to join.”
