This year, the Christmas period will be unlike previous years for many students. While some will visit friends or family, other students will spend the holidays alone. For example, because traveling to their home country is currently not possible.

“This pandemic is making many students feel lonely,” writes student collective 5 voor 12 in a message on Instagram. In an effort to support all students, they placed three Christmas trees in front of the auditorium. There are 25 thousand lights in them, one for each TU Delft student.

Through the website turnuson.nl students can turn on ‘their’ light. “When all 25 thousand lights are lit, we have all thought of each other and we have reached every student. (MvdV)
