Those who fancy an evening of theater can visit Theater de Veste in Delft on Monday 3 June or Tuesday 4 June for Virgiel Theater’s new performance ‘9 to 5’ (in Dutch). For the performances on both evenings, tickets are available through the website.

In cooperation with the Municipality of Delft, the student theater group is also organising an afternoon show on Tuesday 4 March. This performance is free to attend and intended for Delft residents who “could use a helping hand or just feel like a pleasant afternoon of culture,” according to the organisers.

An evening out

The musical 9 to 5 is “a vibrant musical comedy” and offers a “joyful afternoon or evening out,” writes Virgiel Theater in their e-mail to Delta. The story is based on the 1980 film of the same name. The music and lyrics were written by American superstar Dolly Parton. About the story:

“The story follows three working women who are more than fed up with their sexist and selfish boss. Together they are forging a hilarious plan to turn the office hierarchy upside down and set things right.”

Students are welcome to attend the evening performance. For that, tickets can be purchased on the website. Tickets cost EUR 14.85 for Virgilians and EUR 19.35 for others.
