Short

On TV for a room

Translation in progress

The Dutch broadcaster KRO-NCRV is launching a new programme about the room shortage in the Netherlands. In the programme, the broadcaster has students fulfil ‘ludic’ assignments to get a room.

‘Through a ludic assignment, the candidates show their very best side,’ KRO-NCRV writes in a press release. ‘The students who are already living in the house choose the candidate they think fits best.’

The Dutch programme is called ‘Kamernood’ (the Dutch word for room shortage, red.) and is presented by Lot Mulder (21) who is known on Instagram and TikTok under the name naam ‘De haarclip van Marie Claire’. The room seekers who aren’t chosen will receive ‘a helping hand by presenter Lot’ to make the search easier.

‘Kamernood’ can be seen from Sunday 30 October for four weeks on NPO3.nl and NPO 3’s YouTube channel.
