Students organise volunteer day

Under the name StudentDoet! Delft students are organising a volunteer day in Delft on Tuesday 31 May.

During the event, organized by Studenten Vrijwilligerswerk Delft (SVD) and Oras, as many students as possible will volunteer. They will organise a sports day at elementary schools and a benefit concert at the Markt. Also, several actions are organised in the city, such as clearing litter.

The inspiration for StudentDoet! came from the concept of NLDoet!, explains Niels Verheugd, chairman of SVD. “With this action, we as students in Delft would like to give something back to our city.”

Food bank
To conclude the day, a benefit concert will be held at the Market Square. The event will run from 15.00 to 22.00 and is open to everyone. However, a donation to the food bank is requested as admission.
Students who want to help with one of the actions can still apply via the SVD Vacaturebank. (MvdV)
