Participants Ultramarathon donate $6692 to WAAW Foundation
After two months of walking, running and cycling, the participants of the MSE Ultramarathon reached the finish line on Monday 4 January.
During the Ultramarathon, 77 employees and students from the Department of Material Science and Engineering (Faculty of Mechanical, Maritime and Materials Engineering) travelled a number of kilometres every day for charity. In total, they walked, ran and cycled 21,064 kilometres and raised $6692 for WAAW, an organisation that gives African women access to education in science and technology.
The virtual travel goals, a bicycle tour through Europe and a walking tour from Delft to the Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe, were also achieved. (MvdV)
