TU students rob bankLast week, five students from the TU pulled off a fake bank robbery on the Phoenix street. Once outside, the students jumped into a car and took off.
Passersby had thought this was a real robbery, wrote down the getaway car’s licence plate number and called the police. This daring tour the force was for performed for a cabaret movie. Employees and customers where not warned in advance. “They should have asked for our permission,” said a police spokesman. “People were really shocked by this incident.”
TU experiment breaks dike
During research being conducted by TU Delft and Department of Waterways the old dike for the river Lek at Bergambacht gave way on Wednesday night. The dike was saturated with water and had heavy weights placed on it in order to determine how strong the dikes were. Earlier experiments in September this year had shown that the eight-hundred year old dike was stronger than expected.

People with muscular defects hardly have the energy to lift their arms, but with an ingenious and light system that uses two springs, it will soon be possible.
