The occupation of the roof of Mechanical Engineering is over. The police arrested the activists from Delft Student Intifada at 6:10 PM. They had wanted to spend the night on the roof, but TU Delft did not consider this safe.

TU Delft had actually decided to clear the building during daylight hours, partly for safety reasons. At 4:15 PM, the activists were ordered to leave. But when they refused to comply, it took hours before enough police officers arrived to bring the activists down. They were arrested. The arrest went smoothly.
The six occupiers had climbed onto the roof of the ME faculty building at the beginning of the afternoon. This action followed a short march of about 100 people from the lawn behind the Aula to the faculty. Once on the roof, the activists shouted through a megaphone that they wanted to stay there overnight.

Meanwhile, on the square in front of the main entrance, other activists had set up a table and chairs for talks with the Executive Board. They want a total academic boycott of Israel and a public condemnation of the genocide in Palestine.
However, the Executive Board did not show up. Later in the afternoon, it announced through a spokesperson that one new collaboration with an Israeli company had been terminated, a collaboration with another partner from Israel would be reconsidered, and three other planned projects with Israeli partners would not go ahead.
