Not yet an ombudsperson for students

TU Delft is investigating two options to deal with the departure of Niek Graafland, former ombudsman students. This said vice rector Rob Mudde in his most recent meeting with the student council. The first option is for Job van Luyken, staff ombudsman, to fulfil a temporary double role. A second option is that Van Luyken fulfils a permanent double role. Although according to Mudde it is difficult to assess whether this can be achieved. “That has mainly to do with the workload.”

For the time being, students with a complaint can contact the central complaints desk. Good to know, the Complaints Desk does not handle complaints about the content and grading of tests. For this purpose, students can contact the relevant examination board. For complaints about inappropriate behaviour, discrimination or (sexual) harassment, the confidential advisors are available for help, care and advice. (MvdV)
