New Head of Academic Heritage

New Head of Academic Heritage

Museum director Charlotte Rixten (29) will become the new Head of Academic Heritage at TU Delft on 1 November, writes newspaper De Gelderlander (link in Dutch). Rixten is currently Director of Museum Villa Mondriaan in Winterswijk, where she joined the company in 2019. She thus became – like her predecessors at Villa Mondriaan – the youngest museum director in the Netherlands.

Rixten obtained her research master’s degree in Collections and Curating Practices cum laude in 2018 from the University of Edinburgh, where she studied with a grant from the VSBFonds.

Karin Clavel is currently Head of Academic Heritage. Among other things, the staff of the department curate TU Delft’s collections, conduct research on TU’s history and academic heritage and curate exhibitions.
