Medical Delta welcomes nine new professors
They all already have an impressive track record at one of the participating centres: TU Delft, Erasmus MC or LUMC. But in the last year, they have been given an additional appointment and now have with one foot in technology and the other in clinical work. This is what makes the Medical Delta (MD) Professors stand out. The latest addition of nine professors at the Medical Delta congress on 2 November 2021 brings the total number to 22 double appointments, some of which are even triple appointments. The new appointments are:
- Prof. Andrea Evers, health psychologist in the MD research on eHealth and self-care. Affiliated with TU Delft, Leiden University MC and Erasmus MC.
- Prof. Natasja de Groot, cardiologist and electrophysiologist at the MD Heart Rhythm Research Centre. Affiliated with TU Delft and Erasmus MC.
- Prof. Wouter Serdijn, bioelectronics at the MD Heart Rhythm Research Centre. Affiliated with TU Delft and Erasmus MC.
- Prof. Jaap Harlaar, biomechanics at the MD research programme on improving mobility with technology. Affiliated with TU Delft, LUMC and Erasmus MC.
- Prof. Marco van Vulpen, Director HollandPTC proton clinic. Involved in the MD Health Technology Assessment (HTA) programme. Affiliated with TU Delft, LUMC and Erasmus MC.
- Prof. Mischa Hoogeman, Medical Physicist at HollandPTC Protonics Clinic. Involved in the MD Health Technology Assessment (HTA) programme. Affiliated with TU Delft and Erasmus MC.
- Prof. Gerjo van Osch, connective tissue and cartilage specialist with the MD Program for Regenerative Medicine. Affiliated with TU Delft and Erasmus MC.
- Prof. Marcel Reinders, bioinformatics specialist at the MD Research Programme Monitoring in Brain Diseases. Affiliated with TU Delft and LUMC.
- Prof. Andrew Webb, radiology and MRI expert at the MD research group for the diagnosis of dementia and stroke. Affiliated with LUMC and TU Delft.
