“After finishing my PhD at TU Delft last year I expected to feel like the strongest and most awesome guy in this world ever, but what I realised was that I couldn’t experience that freedom immediately.

I suddenly became aware of all the weight that this PhD had put on me and my family. I would say there has been a deferred gratification of completing it. I think in a nutshell I’m still trying to figure out what this new life of being a doctor actually means.

Nevertheless, the best experience really has been the process of becoming a doctor which allowed me to live in Delft for a few years and which has become a dear place for me and my family.”
