Dag eerder terug van wintersport

Negenhonderd leden van de Groningse studentenvereniging Vindicat die in het Italiaanse Sestrière op wintersport zijn, komen een dag eerder dan gepland thuis. Dat heeft Vindicat-rector Floris Hamann aan RTV Noord laten weten. De studenten wilden in eerste instantie op zaterdag aan de terugreis te beginnen, maar stappen vrijdagmiddag in de bus.

Hun verblijf in coronagebied zorgde landelijk voor ophef. Hamann heeft aan RTV Noord laten weten zelf te hebben besloten om terug te keren. “We zijn daarbij niet geadviseerd door de burgemeester of de GGD. Sinds dinsdag is de dynamiek enorm veranderd. Met dit besluit willen we de zorgen van onze leden en hun familie en vrienden wegnemen. De veiligheid van onze leden staat voorop.” Volgens Hamann zijn er op dit moment geen zieke Vindicat-leden bekend. (HOP)
