Barrier at P Aula

Barrier at P Aula

Since Monday January 10, the parking lot P Aula is only accessible through a barrier. In this way, the TU wants to relieve the parking pressure at the parking lot.

Just like at P Bouwkunde, P Rotterdamseweg and P Sports a parking steward will be present at peak times – weekdays between 7 a.m. and 3 p.m. – to provide access to the parking location for drivers with a campus card. The current barrier is a temporary solution until the campus has an electronic system for the six central parking locations. Until this system goes into effect, the P Aula parking lot will remain free for all to use outside of peak times. If everything goes according to plan the new system will come into use in the second or third quarter of 2022.

For visitors who need to park at the campus parking lots TU Delft is currently working on several options, with a paperless solution preferred. “For example, we are thinking of entering and exiting with a QR code,” writes Eelco de Vries.

With the introduction of the new parking management system, the names of the six parking locations will also change:

  • P Aula becomes P1
  • P Sports becomes P2
  • P TNW Zuid will become P3
  • P LR becomes P4
  • P Rotterdamseweg will be P5
  • P Architecture becomes P6
