No face masks at Dutch universities yet

Students and staff do not yet have to wear a face mask at Dutch universities, the University Association’s (VSNU) website says. The mayor of Amsterdam advises everyone to wear a mask in public indoor spaces, but universities are not included. “Of course, any additional instructions from the Safety Region will be followed”, the universities write in an update. More things are changing. “Promotions, orations, graduation meetings and graduation ceremonies can be organised in small groups, with a maximum of thirty people”, the universities state. Working from home is also enforced a little more strictly. For students there remains a little more space. “Self-study at the university falls within the scope of the educational activities that are permitted.” (HOP, Bas Belleman)
