Bureaucrats

Academic Cooperation Association(ACA), an organisation that facilitates cooperation between universities, warned European politicians this week that a jungle of bureaucratic rules is killing international exchange programs. Following a “highly welcome discussion” with the European Commission, ACA had hoped steps would be taken to reduce the bureaucratic restrictions. But now, under pressure from the EU Parliament, the EU Commission wants to revoke the relative independence of European exchange organisations.
