The television, which was on the third-floor and in stand-by mode, started burning spontaneously. The Executive Boards of the three universities have submitted their plan to Dutch Deputy Minister of Education, Annette Nijs. The plan is intended to increase numbers of students, improve academic performance, and invest in research. Moreover, they hope their plan will help fight the Dutch ‘knowledge illness’, the symptoms of which are falling standard for knowledge potential and investment in research and innovation, as well as a shortage of educated people at science and technology educational institutions. Via the graduate school, the three universities will join forces to recruit international students.
