BingeWatch Academy: Superhero Science consists of four episodes with different superheroes and sciences of interest in each event.  Superheroes such as Luke Cage, Superman, Supergirl, The Flash, Daredevil, the X-Men, and Jessica Jones will come under the spotlight over the course of the series and be used to address topics such as advanced materials, genetic editing, augmented senses, and super-speed.

“Speakers are given the opportunity to talk about their work in a truly unique way,” says Fitzgerald. He also sees the series as an opportunity to bring together researchers from different disciplines and backgrounds. “I want to build bridges across campus so as to instigate dialogue between researchers from different departments and faculties.”

According to Fitzgerald, researcher at the 3mE Faculty, this event is for everyone: researchers, students, and the general public. “It won’t be the traditional lecture presentation format. I’m aiming for a TU Delft talk show. There will be interactive quizzes, film trailers, and more. The focus is on telling stories about the innovative research here at TU Delft and beyond in a transparent and easy to understand manner.”
