Mare: psychologist committed fraud 15 times
Psychologist Lorenza Colzato, former researcher at Leiden University, violated scientific integrity in at least 15 publications. She, for example, omitted research results that did not meet with her approval.
Mare, the university magazine, covered (in Dutch) the story yesterday. After a previous incriminating investigation in 2019, the Leiden Scientific Integrity Committee (CWI) looked at another 53 anonymised publications by Colzato. It found ‘manipulation’ of research results in 15 cases.
According to the CWI, the report was submitted to Colzato but she presented ‘no substantive arguments’ in her response to refute the findings. The Italian-born scientist left Leiden University in 2017. (HOP)
