Keuzegids: 13 ‘excellent’ master’s programmes

The Keuzegids reports that thirteen master’s programmes at universities and universities of applied sciences are considered ‘excellent’ by students. But the editors doubt whether this says enough about the quality of these programmes.

The thirteen ‘excellent’ programmes (in a guide with 1,200 master’s programmes) receive the maximum score from students on all aspects: content, teaching staff, testing, atmosphere and preparation for a career. The list includes three masters from the Free University and three from the Utrecht-Tilburg business school TIAS.

Since 2020, the Keuzegids Masters only bases itself on student opinions from the National Student Survey (NSE). Figures on study success (dropout and study pace) are not available for master’s programmes.

No total scores
“Student opinions are very valuable”, the editors believe, “but not enough to say anything about the quality of the programme.” This is why this Keuzegids does not contain any rankings of institutions or total scores for programmes. (HOP, HC)
