Iranian TU Delft students organise protest against war in Iran

The Iranian student association ISSTUD is organising a peaceful protest on Saturday 21 June at 1:00 PM at Delft Station Square.

With this demonstration, ISSTUD aims to draw attention to the escalating violence in the region. The organisers call on TU Delft students, staff, and other members of the public to show solidarity with the Iranian community and to speak out against war and oppression. They specifically urge an end to attacks on civilians, schools, hospitals, and densely populated residential areas.

Around 100 participants

ISSTUD is an open association in which any Iranian student, staff member, or alumnus of TU Delft can be involved, without formal registration. Due to the university’s privacy regulations, there are no exact figures available on the number of Iranian students and staff. However, the organisation expects that around 100 people will take part in the demonstration on Saturday.

Participants are asked to bring a white sheet of paper with the text #NoWarOnIran, described by the organisers as ‘a quiet but powerful symbol of resistance and unity’.
