Thank God it’s Friday! Do you already have plans for the weekend? If not, here are some of the best things to do in and around Delft. And coincidentally, they all have to do with culture and games.
Cute Dutch songs in Rietveld theatre
Want to practice your Dutch in a fun way? Go to the theatre show, Dwaalkat! Accompanied by her band, Katja Remmerswaal sings about things that are on her mind in a creative and fun way. You can call it poetry set to music. If you know other Dutch singers, she might remind you of Eefje de Visser or Aafke Romeijn. Dwaalkat won the Rabo Talentenconcours 2015-2016.
Saturday March 3rd 2018, Rietveldtheater, tickets are € 14.50 or € 12.50 and you can buy them via the website.
Creative session at the University?
Hesidios is the new creative magazine of TU Delft. Do you take beautiful photos or is writing poetry your passion? Now you have a place where you can publish them. To celebrate the first issue of Hesidios, they are holding an open drinks night. During the evening they will introduce themselves and talk about their plans for the magazine, with beer, snacks and prompts. After that, they will have a creative session about ideas for writing, drawing, photography and more, to become inspired to generate content for their magazine. The first issue’s theme is <Hello World/> and is scheduled to be published in May.
Friday March 2nd, 20:00 Hive Room in TU Delft Library. Read more about it on their Facebook event.
Museums boring? Not at the museum night!
If you want to get even more creatively inspired, visit the museum night in Rotterdam. From 20:00 to 01:00 you can visit more than forty museums and other cultural institutions. Learn how glasses are made in the eye museum, see how taxes were done in Egyptian times in the tax museum, join the perforation match (yes, the perforation match) at Phoebus, and sing like a bird in the starling karaoke. The official after party is at BAR with DJ Hunee.
Saturday March 3rd, 20:00 – 01:00, all over Rotterdam.
