The Executive Board (CVB) of TU Delft has appointed Erik Scherff as the new director of ICT, also known as Chief Information Officer (CIO), with effect from 1 August. Scherff succeeds Han Derkx, who has held the position ad interim since 2022 and will remain in office until October 1 to ensure a smooth transfer.
Erik Scherff is currently the CIO at facility service provider Asito, and previously worked at Schiphol for more than ten years. According to the Executive Board, he has more than twenty years of experience in ICT. He is “extremely excited to get started with the further realization of the digital transformation”, the Executive Board quotes him in the e-mail.
The Executive Board is pleased with the appointment, it writes in the e-mail. “Erik Scherff has broad experience in organizations where ICT is of critical importance, just like at TU Delft, and was also closely involved in the digital transformation of such organizations. The further roll-out of our digital strategy and the realization of the digital transformation within our organization are undoubtedly in good hands with him.” (KB)
