This year’s introduction week has 2987 participants. That is what the OWee board told Delta. This is according to expectations, according to the board. Based on previous editions, board members expected ‘around three thousand’ prospective students to attend. For the Introduction Programma for master’s, exchange and bridging students 1,235 students signed up.
The number of participants is considerably higher than last year, when the OWee had 2581 participants. That year, due to the early school vacations, the introduction week took place a week earlier. That meant not only fewer participants, but also fewer new freshmen for the student associations.
In 2022, the OWee had 2,866 participants. In 2019, the last year before the corono pandemic, 3,325 people participated in the OWee. The number for this year could increase, as prospective freshmen are allowed to sign up during the week.
