International Research Projects Delft (IRPdelft) is a foundation that provides master students a challenging international and educational experience. Every year a team of 20 master students from the Delft University of Technology will shortlist 5 multinationals each offering an innovative and challenging business project in emerging markets around the world.

The student participants are responsible to acquire their own projects. Throughout the year, they are trained by world-class consultants. In the summer, they will apply their acquired knowledge in a multidisciplinary team of 4 students. During the summer the teams are still guided by their coach from one of the consultancy firms. A valuable addition to your curriculum!

Seminar

On September 29th the IRPdelft team organised a seminar to look back at the previous summer in which they executed their projects in Colombia. The seminar was mainly attended by involved companies (Makro, DHL, Shell, TMF Group and Oceanus), parents and  interested students who may want to apply for next year’s team. Every project team presented their research results and shared their experiences of working abroad within a different culture. Guest speaker Marjan van Loon, Director of Shell Netherlands, spoke about Shell’s role in the energy transition and her experiences in the collaboration with IRPdelft.

Deadline application 27 October 23:59

The seminar can also be seen as the start of the recruiting campaign in search for the new IRPdelft 2018 team. At the end of the seminar, this year’s IRPdelft board announced their destination: Argentina! Over the last couple of weeks they have been approaching master students actively to show them what an exciting summer IRPdelft has to offer. They organised an interest drink in the city centre and handed out delicious pears in front of the campus library together with some Argentinian music played by the artist Peter Faber.
