Nostalgia

Nikos Larisis, 27, is holding mountain tea, a commonly used medicinal herb in the Mediterranean. Larisis, originally from Greece, moved to the Netherlands in 2011 to pursue an MSc in Embedded Systems.

His parents mail him the herb, which he uses to treat the symptoms of colds and flus. Aside from its medicinal properties, its intense odour reminds him of home and inspires images of the mountains where it grows, a geographic feature Larisis doesn’t see much of living here.
