RUG leidt ranglijst domste universitaire leuzen

‘Born leaders reach for infinity’. Met die slogan gaat de Rijksuniversiteit Groningen voorlopig aan kop in de ‘Domheidsranking 2016’. Het kritische Platform H.NU stelt er de geldverslindende concurrentie tussen universiteiten mee aan de kaak.

Universiteiten besteden veel te veel geld aan marketing, vindt het Platform Hervorming Nederlandse Universiteiten. Het hekelt ‘de dure maar vaak onzinnige reclameleuzen waarmee universiteiten zichzelf op de borst kloppen’.

Iedereen kan via internet meestemmen op de domste leus. Uit de tussenstand blijkt dat de leus van de Rijksuniversiteit Groningen op de meeste weerstand stuit. Op grote afstand volgen de Universiteit Leiden (‘Excelleren in vrijheid’) en de Universiteit van Amsterdam (‘We are U’). Met haar ‘Challenge the future’ staat de TU Delft vijfde.

Op 1 februari wordt de ‘winnaar’ bekendgemaakt.
