Come out of the pink closet at Pulse
On 11 October it is Coming Out Day, an international day to raise awareness about openly expressing your sexual orientation or gender identity.
The LGBTI network for TU Delft employees, True U, will place a pink closet in front of the entrance to Pulse on that day. “Anyone who wants to come out of the closet (with anything) can use the closet and share this on social media if they wish,” explains chairman Julien van Campen. ” In doing so, the closet can just be that extra boost.”
True U also wants to draw attention to the fact that LGBTI people still have to choose every time whether to come out of the closet or not. (MvdV)
- The pink closet will be in front of Pulse from 10am to 5pm on Tuesday 11 October. Throughout the day, at least one person from True U will be present for questions or for support.
