UAF: student mentors wanted
The Dutch Foundation for Refugee Students UAF is looking for student mentors, also in Delft. They help first-year refugee students find their way around campus, practice Dutch, prepare study assignments and build up a social network. At the moment, more than five hundred duos are participating in the project. Last year the UAF supervised more than 1,900 refugee students. Twenty-seven percent of them are enrolled at a university. The majority (52 percent) are studying at a university of applied sciences. At the end of last year, 202 students had received their diplomas. This is slightly more than in 2018, when 191 refugees graduated. (HOP)
