July 13 – 15: North Sea Jazz Festival – The Hague Rotterdam is Cultural city of Europe this year. And to mark this occasion, lot’s of festivals, exhibitions, plays, art-fairs, etc. have been organised.

Music
Several bands will perform on the Hofplaats (in front of the Tweede Kamer, the Dutch Parliament building), including Extince, Deams, Ablaze, Headliners, Jane & Elis, Coup de Villz and Lingwistikz. The Festival begins at 2 p.m.
July 8: Werfpop – Leiden
The twentieth edition of the biggest and best pop festival in Leiden. From 1.30 p.m. until midnight, featuring bands like Ellen ten Damme, Dreadlock Pussy, Dyzack, Zuco 103 and Xenomorph, performing on two stages in the Van der Werfpark. At 11 p.m., an after-hours party will start at LVC in the Breestraat, with Laidback Luke and dj Jozo.
July 8: Two 77 Splash – Amsterdam
Reggae festival in the Heineken Music Hall, starting at 1 p.m., featuring Sizzla, Morgan Heritage and Black Uhuru Feat, among others.
July 10, 12 and 15: Le Nozze di Figaro – Amsterdam

July 27 – August 5: Delft Chamber Music Festival
The Delft Chamber Music Festival celebrates its fifth anniversary this year. Sixteen surprising concerts are staged in the Glass Hall of Museum the Prinsenhof. All participating musicians, like Heinrich Schiff, Lars Vogt, Anne Gastinel, Alexander Rudin, Hakan Hardenberger and Kathryn Stott, were asked to give the names of their favourite compositions. Over five days, top international musicians and young talent will perform more than seventy concerts at locations especially opened for this occasions, like hidden courtyards and monumental canal houses. Highlight of this year’s Canal Festival with the theme ‘set ablaze’, is the Prinsengracht Concert on the floating stage in front of Hotel Pulitzer on August 18. Music lovers can enjoy the classical music performed by renowned soloists from the sides of the canal, from boats or bridges. The fairy-lights which illuminate the facades, the trees and the Wester Tower add magic to this unique experience. The Schouwburgplein (theatre square) is Rotterdam’s main stage this summer. 120 Historical ships are moored in the Oosterdok and at the jetty of the Netherlands Maritime Museum in Amsterdam. In the courtyard, a market with vendors, quacks, merchants and musicians is held. An 18th century fashion parade is presented on the scaffolds and woodcutters, sail makers and a rope maker give demonstrations at Kattenburgerplein 1. July 22 – August 26: Summer Square – Rotterdam
The Schouwburgplein (theatre square) is Rotterdam’s main stage this summer. On a metropolitan terrace, from noon coffee concerts will be followed by children’s theatre, after which fragments of Rotterdam theatre and dance performances will be shown. The afternoon will end with jazz, blues, Jewish and corny songs.
July 28 and 29: Historical ships – Amsterdam
120 Historical ships are moored in the Oosterdok and at the jetty of the Netherlands Maritime Museum in Amsterdam. In the courtyard, a market with vendors, quacks, merchants and musicians is held. An 18th century fashion parade is presented on the scaffolds and woodcutters, sail makers and a rope maker give demonstrations at Kattenburgerplein 1. August 5: Sailing Flower Corso Westland – Delft
At approximately 2 p.m., the boats decorated with flowers in the style of the theme ‘colourful sounds’ will pass Delft Central Station.
August 5: Glitterclub on the Beach – The Hague

August 20 – 23: OWee week – Delft
Introduction week of first- year students of regular courses. Nearly all student societies organise parties in the evenings, including theatre performances, live music, artists etc. Entrance free, very low prices at the various bars located at these societies. For the main societies, the Owee is also the only opportunity to subscribe as a member to be.
August 24 – 26: Classic Scheveningen-Luxembourg-Scheveningen Rally – The Hague
Some 200 historic and classic cars will ride in the Scheveningen-Luxembourg-Scheveningen rally. The cars will be on display to visitors prior to the start and after the finish on the Scheveningen promenade. Information: (0900) 3403505 (75ct p.m.).
August 24 – 26: Uitmarkt Amsterdam
Opening of the new cultural season with performances on indoor and outdoor stages on the Museumplein (in between the Rijksmuseum and the Concertgebouw) and on Leidseplein. Large information market and book market. Look for information in the first Delta of the new Academic year, appearing on August 20.
August 25: Huge Air show Schiphol Airport
