Homeless

Last Sunday night, 53 foreign students studying at the Hanze Hoogschool in Groningen were made homeless by a fire in their student apartment building. At 11 o’ clock in the evening the fire started in a car parked next to the building. The fire quickly spread, engulfing five more cars and eventually the student apartment building. The students were evacuated and relocated to a hotel. Fortunately, no one was hurt. Fire investigators are investigating the cause of the fire.

Party

This Friday (April 4th), for the fourth time this year the student club Aegee will host an international party. The theme of this year’s party is ‘Heaven or Hell’, and it is hoped that all those attending will wear a costume that has some link with heaven or hell. The party is held in ‘het Lagerhuis’ at the faculty of OCP (Design Engineering & Production), across the street from the Aula. The party starts at 22.00. Entrance is free and a beer costs just 1 euro.
