When love is over…

Writer and philosopher, Jan Drost, takes you through all the stages of his heartbreak, and tries to interpret them with the help of philosophy, music, films and literature. Why does heartbreak hurt so much? Why is it so difficult to continue? Drost drags you through it as a comforting friend.

Where did Emilia van Nassau, daughter of William of Orange, find her own prince on a white horse? And why did she have to keep her relationship secret? You’ll find out on the special love night ‘Rendez-vous’ in the museum. There will be music, food and drinks too.

You’re the top

Cole Porter (1891-1964) was one of the greatest American songwriters, known for world-famous songs like ‘I’ve Got You Under My Skin’ and ‘Ev’ry Time We Say Goodbye’. He combined his extraordinary talent with a very striking lifestyle, but also led a double life. The more successful he became, the lonelier he felt. This play (in Dutch) paints a picture of Porter’s life and music.

  • Theater de Veste, February 14th, 20:00. Tickets €35.
